About me
Hi. I'm Melissa Cushman Banczak. I was a literary agent with Otitis Media Literary (Minneapolis, MN) for five years. (Yeah, my boss had a great sense of humor) He retired and the agency closed in 2000. I've been a filmmaker for the last seven year. My first short, Lilah & the Alien, won a A.C.E award for acting at the 2004 Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival. I've written and/or produced a dozen or so docs, shorts and PSA's, a critically acclaimed webseries, and am now in post on my first feature film. I own a small production company in Tucson, AZ called Fried Egg films. I agree with your latest blog. Writing a screenplay (or novel for that matter) without first writing an outline is like constructing a building without creating a blueprint first.
